Customers Gain Improved Control over Remote Access to their Elite Systems

June 2008: Elite is now offering the security of a failsafe connection method between itself and customers using Elite practice and financial management software solutions.

The introduction of two new products – the Enexity SecureLink server and Gatekeeper software application – will give customers a more reliable way of monitoring when their Elite support team connects to their system remotely.

Licensed and maintained by Elite, the SecureLink server manages secure connections between the customer and Elite and eliminates the need to use modems, VPN connections, desktop sharing and site-to-site networks.

Gatekeeper is a free download application customers deploy on their network that allows them to grant Elite access to connectivity services, such as Telnet, SSH, RDP, File Transfer and Remote Desktop.

These two products provide customers with increased control over when Elite can connect, the length of time of that connection, and allows them to manage exactly which parts of the product Elite can access.

The provision of a unique login credential allows the customer to maintain a full audit history of any external connection sessions. Customers will know in real-time exactly when an Elite team member has connected to their system, and exactly which parts of the system they have visited once the connection has been made.
