Ozannes Selects Elite 3E to Further Improve Efficiency and Maximise Client Satisfaction

April 2007: One of the Channel Islands’ longest established law firms, Ozannes, has selected Elite 3E, Thomson Elite’s next generation financial and practice management platform to replace its ageing information systems.

The firm, which in 2006 was ranked by The Lawyer as the leading Channel Islands firm in their ‘Offshore Law Firm of the Year’ award, selected Elite 3E in order to gain improved key performance indicator data and management information.

Nick Marquis, IT Director at Ozannes, says: “We chose Thomson Elite’s 3E solution because it offered us more sophisticated management reporting and a platform to move our firm forward.

“We are seeking better knowledge and control of exactly where our business comes from and where our profitability resides. To do this we need a system that can extract and distribute key performance data in a form management can easily understand.”

Marquis is confident that Elite 3E will provide a high-level, graphical view of day-to-day processes, which will enable monthly billing cycles to be closely monitored and an eye kept on key performance indicators.

“We were experiencing functional and administrative difficulties with our legacy system. Elite 3E offers us the opportunity to improve our workflow and automate a range of manual procedures which will improve the accuracy and timeliness of our responses to client requests.”

He says the new platform will provide Ozannes with better control over its billing processes, allowing it to maximise client satisfaction and improve efficiency and profitability.

“We were particularly impressed by 3E’s time recording functionality, which will be much easier for our fee earners to use and will allow us to improve the capture of billable time.”

Marquis pointed to Thomson Elite’s strong ties with Microsoft, and its reputation as a market leader in the professional services space as key credentials that influenced Ozannes’ decision.
